The Need for a Shift The Human Condition: People find it challenging to deal with life in a world paradigm that is emotionally fear-based. We need only to look around at the human condition to see the results of this kind of thinking. We fear that we will not have enough and so we have to keep our jobs and unsatisfactory working conditions at any cost. We fear to speak up when we see an injustice because we fear the ramifications. We fear to break out of these patterns because there is some comfort in a situation we are familiar with. In order to exist in this paradigm we must deny the uniqueness of our being and hide behind masks because we fear the loss of love through rejection and retaliation by others. All the World's a Stage: There is a scenario being played out on the world stage that is gradually limiting our rights and freedoms; the tool that is being used to implement compliance is the energy of fear. One needs only to look at the daily news for examples. Since the llth of September, 2001 our world has drastically changed; the plane bombings of that day were the excuse to pass draconian legislation limiting civil rights and the freedom of movement in many western countries. There is a watershed choice to be made in the lives of individual citizens, politicians, and those administering and enforcing these laws-either for serfdom or freedom. These pieces of Legislation are not about administrators and enforcers versus the citizenry; they are about each person being personally responsible for what he/she does to fellow human beings with or without the authority of the law. Such laws only give individuals the excuse to treat others in a way they do not want to be treated themselves. The rationale is "I must do this, I have no choice, it is the Law". That excuse does not hold; we always have a choice. Doing nothing is also a choice. It is only in taking personal responsibility that we find freedom.( In fact some local governments in the U.S.A. are refusing to cooperate with the provisions of the Patriot Act in their jurisdictions.) These laws are set up to divide and conquer; however, they cannot be successful without the co-operation of everyone who comes under their jurisdiction. We do have free will and we can exercise it. We are being deceived into once again giving up our power so we can "make it" in this world.
